Already a hit with the teenagers, Neymar has established a popstar status in Brazil, where his style is emulated on and off the pitch. Fashion highlights and stepovers aside, this kid is actually the real deal on the pitch.

Neymar is the only player who performs in the Brazilian league to make the 23-man shortlist for the Fifa Ballon d’Or award.

I’ve seen him play live, and this kid has got bags of potential, as everybody already knows. It will obviously depend on how he adapts to life in Europe once he makes his inevitable move to either England or Spain. I really hope he doesn’t go to Barcalona or Real Madrid, where it is notoriously hard to adapt.
